I am a former police officer, an honorably discharged Army and Navy veteran, and I have worked in two substance abuse treatment centers. I have fibromyalgia, arthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, mild depression, degenerative disc disease, bulging discs, chronic pain throughout my body, and a rare disease that has prevented me from healing well from about half of the thirty-seven surgeries that I've undergone. I am also a passionate cannabis advocate, despite not partaking for years.
I know that America is beginning to realize that we are at war with a corrupt, elitist, and incompetent government that does not represent us or our interests. It does not respect our natural rights, our sacrifices, our veterans, or our right to liberty as free, autonomous adults. It doesn't respect our right to property and it attempts to keep us in debt, overtaxed, off balance, divided, and distracted.
We can't grow cannabis on our own property and consume it as we see fit in our own homes. We can work fifty years to pay off a home, then lose it for not paying property taxes that are higher than our mortgage was. We are told that if we wish to own a plant for medical or recreational purposes that we have to give up our right to defend our homes, lives, and property from violence and confiscation often perpetrated by the same government.
We are fined and incarcerated for committing consensual or victimless crimes. Parents go to jail for successfully medicating their own children that have horrible illnesses and conditions after modern medicine failed. America locks up more of its citizens per capita than any other nation and half of them are for nonviolent drug charges. 2.3 million people total!
We have Hemp, a wonderful, renewable crop with hundreds of uses that could help with deforestation, pollution, housing, fuel, hunger, global warming, and our economy and yet our benevolent shitbird government still prohibits most farmers from growing it.
Enough is enough. The so-called War on Drugs is actually a war on freedom and a war on Americans.
Repeal Cannabis Prohibition and end the War on Drugs. Drug abuse is a health problem. Prohibition creates the great majority of the crime problems.
